Q: When were you diagnosed with PMDD, and what were you experiencing at the time?

I was diagnosed with PMDD back in 2019 by my gynecologist. At the time, I wasn’t able to sleep through the night. I felt constantly anxious and on edge, especially the couple weeks leading up to my period. I had no desire to do any of the things I normally loved. Socializing felt impossible and overwhelming, and I couldn’t turn off the spiral of negative thoughts that were constantly swirling around my mind.

Q: How did your doctor approach treatment at first?

My gyno’s “cure” was to put me on continuous birth control—so I’d have a steady dose of hormones coming in, and I’d skip the sugar pills and immediately start a new pack so my period would never come. That somewhat helped manage the symptoms, but in no way did it cure them.


Q: What happened when you came off birth control?

After making the decision to come off birth control, I knew I needed to find a new way to manage my PMDD. It was a bit of a journey, there was a lot of trial and error, but I eventually found what works for me!!

Q: So what’s been working for you now?

Bodology inositol, a low histamine diet, daily movement, and regulating my nervous system. That’s what made the difference. I’m so grateful I found this product!
